01 — AUTOMATION

Any staff member can run it

Auto-alignment, auto-focus, auto-exposure, auto-capture and auto-mosaic. The tech seats the patient and presses one button; the EIDON finds the pupil, focuses across a −15D to +15D range and captures. No dilation down to a 2.5 mm pupil, so it drops into pretest instead of competing for doctor time.

02 — RESOLUTION

14 megapixels. 15 µm on the retina.

A 4608 × 3288 sensor at 60 pixels per degree, driven by a TrueColor confocal engine rather than a flash. Confocal rejects the scattered light that washes out a conventional fundus photo, so the image holds up through cataract, small pupils and media opacities — and it is genuinely diagnostic when you zoom in front of the patient.

03 — AUTOFLUORESCENCE

AF built in

Blue-light autofluorescence on the same platform, in the same sitting, with no second device and no second room. AF is where geographic atrophy, drusen and RPE change declare themselves early — and it is the modality that turns a routine widefield photo into a documented, defensible reason to bring the patient back.
